www.festoolshop.co.nz is a Website portal created for those enthusiastic Festool fans. It is owned by Carbatec New Zealand and its purpose is to give a specialised Festool experience.
Carbatec is the trading name of Carbatec New Zealand limited.
New Zealand orders
Shipping charges are calculated on the size, weight and destination along with the quantity of items ordered. You will find a total weight listed for your order when you proceed to your cart.
Orders of 25 kgs or less will be sent by Courier. Courier parcels are sent as “signature required” to ensure goods are insured up to receipt at the destination address.
Orders over 25 kgs will be sent by freight transport. The transport company we use will have a tail-lift on their vehicle so as to be able to unload to ground level at the destination address. Freight shipments are sent “signature required” to ensure goods are insured up to receipt at the destination address.
Transport companies use large trucks. If you have difficult access or are very rural it is suggested you contact Carbatec prior to placing an online order.
When signing for items received you are signing that you have “received these items in good condition”. If you see damage on the packaging please do not sign for the items or make sure you note the damage on the form at that time.
If you discover what you consider is shipping damage after the items have been delivered please contact Carbatec as soon as possible
When proceeding through checkout, freight is automatically calculated when possible. Should a quote be required, you still need to process your order through to Order Confirmation. A Sales Team member will call you to discuss your freight quote and if you accept this quote you will be charged for the freight. If this occurs, we will not dispatch your order until you have confirmed that you accept this quote - there is no obligation. Any changes to freight rates will be posted on this site as they become effective. If your order is eligible for Free Postage, the Free Postage option with $0.00 cost will appear as a Freight Option, select this option and proceed through the checkout as normal.

Approximate Despatch and Shipping Times
Once your order is completed online we aim to dispatch your order from our Warehouse within 1 Business Day (Monday-Friday). Orders are processed in order of receipt. Once dispatched, the shipping time will be based on the carrier used. Below is an estimate of shipping times:
- North Island Courier – next business day normally if order is processed before 3pm
- North Island Transport – one business day following an order processed before noon
- South Island Courier – the second business day normally if order is processed before 3pm
- South Island Transport – 2-5 business days following an order processed before noon
The shipping times above are best case (normal) delivery times. Rural deliverys may extend the above times by 1-2 days. Delays beyond our control do occur so if you suspect your parcel is late please contact us so we may track it for you.
Note; Freight times to the South Island can vary due to road transport issues following the Kaikoura earthquake.
Holiday Periods; Orders placed during holiday periods (Easter and Christmas / New Year) may be delayed in shipping until the store reopens. Please see any notices posted on the Website.
Dangerous Goods
Some products are classed as Dangerous Goods for freight purposes. These products may be advertised on the Website as “pick up from Store” only. These goods cannot be sent by carrier and will be clearly marked as such.
Customer not at home
Goods shipped by Carbatec require a signature for delivery. Please be aware that somebody will need to be at the premises to receive the items ordered.
For courier, the delivery driver will leave a card in the letterbox should nobody be available to sign for the goods. This card will advise how to reschedule your delivery or where to pick the goods up from (an example being your local post shop).
For transport deliveries (heavy items) please take care to ensure that somebody will be at the premises to receive the delivery at the expected time. Occasionally extra freight charges may occur if the transport company cannot deliver items because nobody is at home. If you need special arrangements please email or contact Carbatec as soon as possible after placing your order.
Merchandise Availability
Due to exceptional demand for some of our most popular stock items, in some instances there may be a stock outage. When an item is out of stock the Website will request you contact Carbatec to place this item on backorder.
Due to stock transactions there is always the possibility that an item shown as instock when you completed the online purchase is not available. If that occurs you will be contacted and a refund or backorder processed.
Sales Taxes
We are required to automatically charge and withhold the applicable GST for orders to be delivered to addresses within New Zealand.
Faulty Goods or Warranty claims.
If you suspect you have a faulty product or wish to make a warranty claim please call or contact CarbaTec New Zealand. Returned goods must have prior approval.
Goods supplied in New Zealand are covered by supplier warranties. The Comsumer Guarranty Act is applied for goods for private use. The consumer Guarranty Act does not apply to goods purchased for commercial use.

Damaged or Incorrect Merchandise
Couriers / Carriers will normally require the customers signature that the goods are received in good condition. Please do not sign if you see or suspect the goods may be damaged.
If when unpacking goods you find what you think is shipping damage please stop immediately and call or contact Carbatec as soon as possible.
We will, upon your request, replace any merchandise that is received in damaged condition or as a result of a picking error. No material will be accepted or replacements issued without prior approval to return such merchandise. Filing of claims with the Carrier will be our responsibility.
